Purchasing and Inventory Control
- NML understands the importance of managing and optimizing a company's return on committed capital. In many cases the biggest area of opportunity for improvement is in inventory control. We have developed inventory control and purchasing sub systems, established procurement algorithms and instituted best practices all designed to keep inventories at the most efficient levels while providing the best industry fill rates.
- We have experience managing all levels of inventory with many different industry related characteristics. This includes products ranging from short shelf life expectancy to special storage needs to extended cycle times. We tailor our inventory and purchasing solutions to preserve product integrity, limiting obsolescence while providing an optimal return on investment.
- Best demonstrated inventory control practices include activities that occur within the four walls of an institution once the product has been procured. Activities such as cycle counting, stock rotation and housekeeping practices are very important. Our programs include these types of critical operating practices into inventory control procedures.
- We believe that proper storage and retrieval systems play an important part in controlling inventory. We have extensive experience with designing warehouse and storerooms to properly store products for the healthcare industry. We have experience designing, implementing and managing storage and retrieval systems used for low unit of measure activity, bulk storage operations and everything in between.
